A true antique stereoscope, which is a device invented in 1832 by Sir Charles Wheatstone, as a way to view two converged images through a stereo window in 3D! This particular one was patented in 1895, and has some information printed on the underside and comes with a 3D viewing card of a fun and quirky historical photograph of a couple laughing together. This cool item is the predecessor to the View-Masters we had as kids in the modern day. This is the 1800’s version of virtual reality, How cool! A fun and unique Collectable antique for enthusiasts and collectors of vintage items.

*This particular one is missing the wooden handle and card holder mechanism but is still functional if you manually hold the photograph viewing card.
